Smooth Backgrounds

These backgrounds may look like they are just plain colors but they are not. On a good monitor, they should look slightly ruffled. Viewers with different monitors may experience these backgrounds slightly different. Lower quality video cards and monitors can affect the overall perceived quality of your web pages. One should not only test web pages using different browsers but also different computer systems if possible.

Such web page backgrounds need testing too to see what color and font sizes easily show up. If one uses a dark colored font on a dark background, it may be difficult with some computer systems to distinguish the text.

  TIPS

You can copy any of these images and, should you want, use a good graphics program to increase or decrease the brightness or hue to a more suitable color for the project you are working on. Set up a graphics folder called "Backgrounds" and copy the images to that folder. You might even make a sub-folder called "Smooth" and place them in that folder. You can then make other sub-folders for other backgrounds included in Deena Digest or other web sites.
